Dawn Adelson is a Senior Partner and a lead trial attorney handling many of the firm’s most significant cases. She serves as the head of one of the Firm’s Medical Malpractice Groups that specializes in the defense of physicians and hospitals, including the defense of one of the largest health care systems in the United States.
For more than twenty years at Gordon & Silber, Dawn has established an outstanding record defending the Firm’s most serious medical malpractice actions at trial. Drawing upon her experience as a prosecutor in the Kings County District Attorney’s office, Dawn brings an aggressive approach to the defense of her clients. She is loved by her clients and feared by her adversaries. She has successfully defended individual physicians and hospitals, Dawn’s practice encompasses a variety of health care providers including nurses, dentists, chiropractors and social workers.
Dawn is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the New York State Medical Malpractice Defense Bar Association, and the Association for Hospital Risk Management of New York. She has lectured for the New York State Bar Association’s Continuing Legal Education Program, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the New York Breast Imaging Society.
Dawn received her undergraduate degree from State University of New York at Binghamton in 1986. She obtained her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1989. She is admitted to practice in New York, and in the Southern and Eastern Districts of the United States District Court for New York. She resides in Westchester County with her husband and son.
